Easter Egg-stravaganza! (Fun Party)

$25 per family

Max: 30 egg-cellent families (note: need a min of 12 families to hold event)

Join us for an Easter Egg-stravaganza at Preschool Family! We will start the celebration by creating our own bunny ears to wear, and then we'll all gather together for a classic Easter egg hunt (eggs will contain small prizes and nut-free candies). The Easter bunny himself will make an appearance to hand out carrots and pose for pictures. 

For an additional fee of $25 (payable on the day of the event), 10 lucky families may also sign up for a 15 minute professional spring photo session to capture the occasion, or take a spring family photo.

Fun Day

Please join us for our community fundraiser on April 26th from 10:00-2:00 at PreSchool Family! 

Children will get to play carnival games, ride a mini-train, and listen to popular children's musician Andy Z! Andy Z will perform from 11:00-11:45, and the train is available 11:00-1:00. 

There will be pizza slices and healthy snack foods on sale, baked treats to buy, and sensory jars to stock up on for quick summer activities. 

Wristbands are $10 per child: this gets you two train rides, two prizes from the pocket lady, and unlimited booth participation. A booth bingo activity is available for a prize as well.

Bike Safe, Ride Great: Family Bike Safety Class (Fun Party)

$25 per person

Max: 12 people

Does your family want to be a biking family, but you worry about safety?  This is the practical 'fun party' that will introduce you to the wonderful journey of family cycling! Join Teacher Maria and Teacher Meg to learn and practice bike safety skills.  The session begins at Greendell with a classroom lesson for parents while children who would rather play are supervised in another room.  Then we will inflate tires, adjust helmets for proper fit, and practice bike skill drills in the parking lot.  We'll end the session with a group training ride in the neighborhood for on-the-road practice with a brief stop at a local park to play before returning back to Greendell.

Park Parade and Playdate (Fun Party)

Max: 25 kids

We love a parade! We’ll decorate scooters, bikes, strollers or any other rides you may have, then we’ll parade around Robles Park. We’ll enjoy a PSF appropriate snack and play on the two playgrounds for the duration for the event. Drop-off your PSF enrolled independent scooter/bike riders for the event. Feel free to stay with us to include younger and older children if you wish! This is a DROP OFF event.

Improv! (Fun Party)

Join us for an evening of Improv games (as seen in ComedySportz, Second City, Who's Line Is It Anyway, etc) featuring YOU and other PSF parents. Led by Teacher Terri - who teaches & directs theatre when not teaching Toddlers - participants will laugh as they create crazy characters & silly scenes together in the beautiful backyard of Teacher Katy. No experience necessary, just a fun-spirit! Yes, there will be wine. ;-)

Cheap Wine Tasting Party (Fun Party)

Max: Minimum 10, maximum 20 adults

Bring the cheapest bottle of wine you can find (coupons, sales, and discounts all count. No “2 Buck Chuck,” please!) and your receipt for proof, then enjoy a blind tasting to determine the best cheap wine available! Prizes will be awarded for crowd favorite red and white plus the cheapest bottle! Light snacks will be provided.

Bike Ride Across the Golden Gate Bridge (Fun Party)

Max: 8 adults

Come bike across the Golden Gate Bridge with friends from PSF! Enjoy the fresh air, beautiful scenery, and get some exercise in this iconic Bay Area setting. We’ll ride from Crissy Fields, across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, and take the ferry back to SF. For all fitness levels. We’ll bike for about 8 miles, mostly flat, some downhill, with one small hill to climb. Casual pace, no rider will be left behind. 😊 Pack a lunch or buy it in Sausalito. Bring money for the ferry ride back as well. If you have a kiddo and partner who want to tag along, they can wait for us at Presidio Tunnel Tops (the relatively new wonderland for young ones) across from Crissy Fields, or drive to Sausalito and have lunch with us.

Meet at Crissy Field, end in Sausalito.

Do you long for your very own visual schedule? Or a set of "SAVE" cards to help transitions at home? Perhaps you'd prefer paper dolls that last, or to preserve some artwork or a recipe indefinitely? If so- we have you covered (pun intended)! Join us for a morning of breakfast treats, mimosas, and lots and lots of lamination! We will provide laminating supplies, and some assorted printouts of popular choices from PSF classrooms, and you bring your bright ideas or precious papers to keep for posterity. And let's get laminated!

Fresh Baked Flowers (Fun Party)

Max: This event is for 10 child/caregiver pairs of bakers 

Turn your flour into flowers and watch your garden grow! Come make edible bread flowers, vines, or whatever shape your heart desires that can be filled, sprinkled, or colored to make a delicious and decorous baked treat. You won't need to bring anything but an apron and your appetite to come spend a morning with us having fun and filling our tummies. (Only participating adults and children please, due to space.)

Calling all bookworms! Looking for a great read to kick off the new year? Come and join us for a leisurely afternoon chatting with new friends and sharing some beloved books. Each guest should bring one wrapped, new or used book that they have read and would like to recommend and pass on to another reader. We will open the books one by one and you can share why the book spoke to you. Each guest will leave with a new read and a new "recommended reading" list. With wine and light refreshments served, it will be a relaxing and fun afternoon.

Tea and Trusts: Afternoon Estate Planning

Wondering how to get your affairs in order for your family in the future? Come join us for a catered high tea with a discussion of planning for the future on the menu as well! A local attorney who specializes in Will, Trust, and Estate planning will share their expertise with an informational presentation on Estate Planning, followed by Q&A. To sweeten a topic that may be hard for some to swallow - we will include a delicious teatime spread including savories, sweets, desserts and a plethora of tea to choose from.

Dance Party

Ballet, creative dance, and movement games. Children will experience different kinds of dance movements while dancing to beautiful music in a large dance studio with scarves, streamers, and a variety of themes (including the Nutcracker.) Dance is an art form that all genders enjoy! Children should wear comfortable clothing or dance attire and should have bare feet or ballet slippers. Please bring a water bottle.

Oshogatsu ~ Japanese New Year’s Party

Let’s celebrate the beginning of a new year, Japanese style! Families will explore and experience Japanese New Year traditions such as: 1. Making and eating Mochi (a.k.a. Rice Cake, a celebratory food with various meanings, such as longevity) 2. Creating your own Shimekazari (New Year decoration placed at the top of entrances to welcome the God of the New Year, who brings good luck.) 3. Playing Fukuwarai (a popular children’s game played during New Year celebrations) 4. Writing your own Kakizome (It is the first calligraphy writing of the New Year, typically words or phrases that reflect people’s hopes, dreams, and aspirations for the coming year.)
